Scope and Content: Records the achievement of Dinas school pupils’ successes in sports: notable are that four boys are in the Cardiganshire Schools under 15 rugby team and Dinas won the County under 15 seven-a-side trophy at Aberaeron for the first time in the history of the school; in football we are informed that Dinas won the under 16 seven-a-side football league cup and the league championship in the Aberystwyth and district league; and that in the athletics field seven boys were picked to represent the county at the National championships. It then relates the sporting year for the girls: a record number of girls were represented in the county at junior county level; and the netball team achieved second place in the county tournament; the gym club has had an active year producing two teams for the Urdd competition; and cross country running was introduced for the first time. There are also included a number of general comments on the sporting year at Dinas, including the note that over thirty boys have been taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award during the course of which Dinas was the first school to use Tregaron outdoor centre, and some pupils are members of the life-saving team based on the Aberystwyth beach.
